Remembering Love and Humanity in Business

humanity business valentines video

Happy Valentines Day and Atlanta Civic Dinners week! On this perfect confluence of events and topics, we are launching the first of (maybe?) regular video blogs. Why? Because the topic is so. very. Watchword. One of our company core values is Remember the humanity To us that means keeping people at the forefront of every effort and conversation. Never forget that even someone’s business card or persona profile says CEO or Superhero, they’re also a person. A daughter, mom, brother, neighbor – and it’s those identities that create the lenses we use to decide whether we feel successful in the work we spend so much time and effort doing.

No doubt, quarterly earnings reports and marketing metrics matter. But so do those moments of knowing that you have done well in your work so you can support your family or contribute to your community – whatever matters on the big picture. We don’t work for the sake of work. We work for the sake of life.

On this Valentine’s Day, we challenge you to think about why you work and how you can make work more fulfilling for those you serve in your business.

Check out Civic Dinners – if they don’t have events in your city yet, start one! Thanks to the ever-inspiring Jeff Hilimire for hosting ours. For sure, some seeds were planted to bring even more Love and Humanity to business in Atlanta and beyond.

Watchword produces intelligence-driven branding and content that works efficiently across many channels to help businesses articulate who they are and what they do to the people who matter most. We listen carefully, communicate thoughtfully, respond consistently, and deliver absolutely – that is our rally cry – our watchword. What’s yours? We’d love to hear your story.
